Meeting The Locals

As ‘Bang Bang’ didn’t help in the quest in integrating with the locals another approach was needed. So was delighted when a local family offered to cook food for us and bring it to our villa. Table was laid, beer in the fridge and awaiting guests. I was looking forward to a Spanish culinary delight and pondered on whether it would be Paella, Pulpo a la gallega, Gazpacho or maybe even Tapas! After the greetings were made and drinks in hand I saw the rice, (yep it’s gotta be Paella)……. It arrived on the table…..it didn’t look like Paella! And then the onion bhaji’s arrived…..Nope it’s not Paella….The Indian Curry was very nice!
