Airborne

I made it onto the plane found my seat and when they closed the doors I knew that there was no going back. I had done it.
I slept most of the way only to be woken up by the pilot announcing that we would be experiencing some turbulence and stay seated. Through the clouds we went and the ride got bumpy. Nothing too bad but I noticed that I wasn’t worried in the slightest, it gets you like that, it’s almost like saying OK bring it on, you can’t hurt me anymore than I am hurting. The fear is gone!

We land and soon I walk out into the bright sunlight feeling the hot sun on my face, and into the arms of my friend.
